The batsman on board HMS AMEER has just waved this Grumman Hellcat round again as its approach was too high. The arrestor hook can be seen trailing aft whilst flaps and undercarriage wheels are still down as the pilot opens his throttle wide and goes round again. This photograph was taken during the eleven days of action in the course of the successful landings on the islands of Ramree and Cheduba.
